Heath Promoted to ORAU’s New Manager of Integrated Operations

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. –Consuelo Heath was recently promoted to manager of integrated operations for Oak Ridge Associated Universities’ (ORAU) Information Systems Department. In her new position, Heath will manage all integrated changes to the department’s operational processes, technical infrastructure, and services, as well as oversee department-wide technology implementations.

“We're very pleased to have Consuelo step into this new role,” said Tony Schubert, interim director of ORAU’s Information Systems Department. “Her experience and talents will serve to better the department and ORAU.”

From April 2006 through the summer of 2007, Heath served as section manager for the Information Systems Department desktop support group, supporting ORAU’s more than 900 employees. Prior coming to ORAU in 2006, Heath served as information technology director for the statewide law firm of Turner, Padget, Graham, & Laney, based in Columbia, S.C. She served for 21 years in the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard and is a Desert Storm veteran.

Heath holds a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems from Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C. She also holds an associate's degree in applied electronic systems technology from the Community College of the Air Force, located on Maxwell Air Force Base in Prattville, Ala., and holds MCSE, MCP, MCDST and ITIL certifications.

ORAU is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 98 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
