


Full-time one-year appointments are renewable up to three years; postdoc appointments are renewable up to four years. Students can participate fulltime or parttime as long as they meet eligibility requirements. Appointments for students can be during the summer or winter breaks, or during the academicic year.

The Navy Health Research Center Detachment Environmental Health Effects Laboratory (NHRC DET EHE Lab) is a member of the Tri-Service (Navy, Air Force, and Army) Toxicology Research facility located at the Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The Detachment has the ability to leverage Navy, Air Force and Army resources in performance of its mission. The primary focus of the NHRC is on environmental and occupational exposures, particularly in deployed environments, in order to identify toxic effects before health and operational performance is compromised in the war fighter. Through the ORISE program, the NHRC provides opportunities to participate in on-going applied research and development projects in the areas of Environmental Health, Engineering, Biological Sciences, Public Health, Occupational and Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sanitation and Hygiene, and Laboratory Services. NHRC accepts applications on a continuous basis. |
