Travel and Housing

The school expects to be able to cover reasonable local expenses related to the school. Some travel assistance will also be available.

Participants will share apartments in Argonne National Laboratory. The apartments are within walking distance of the Physics Division where the school will be held, but transportation will be available if needed. Some self-catering facilities are available, as will as cafeteria and restaurants on site.

Travel by air to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport is easy from anywhere in the world. Low-cost domestic flights to Chicago Midway Airport are often particularly attractive. Limousine services from the airports to the laboratory are easily arranged in advance.

Accomodation Details

We have 12 quads allocated. Each quad is 3 double rooms and a dining room, kitchen, bathroom. I have tried to spread everyone out as much as I can, to maximize the space utilization, and to allow students to meet as many people as possible.
