Community Outreach

ORAU Invests in Our Community, Our Region, and Beyond

Since its establishment in 1946, Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) has been a proud supporter of the surrounding community. Whether its providing employees with a wealth of free safety and health information, or teaming together to construct a Habitat for Humanity home, ORAU realizes that it is only as strong as the community in which it is based.

In fact, as a multiple-campus organization, ORAU invests within each of the communities surrounding its separate locations. Beyond helping to secure the foundation of our local economies, ORAU also works to include within its outreach activities the mission to continuously advance scientific research and education.

Corporate Citizenship

ORAU is committed to strengthening our communities through in investments and participation in education and economic development.

Education Support

ORAU’s core mission remains to strengthen America’s competitiveness in scientific research and education. We do it through the management and support of science education programs extending from K-12 through postgraduate.

Pollard Technology Conference Center

ORAU’s state-of-the-art Pollard Technology Conference Center is available for community groups to use for speakers, events, meetings, or training.
