ORAU and its Partners Provide Support to National Program for Former DOE Workers

In 2005, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) selected Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. (CHS), National Jewish Health and Occupational Health Link (OHL) to spearhead the National Supplemental Screening Program for former DOE workers.

The ORAU team is responsible for:

  • contacting former employees and scheduling them for medical examinations,
  • providing supplemental care in some instances, and
  • providing the employee with their medical results, as well as recommendations for next steps over the next five years.

OHL supports worker health by providing an innovative and secure electronic infrastructure that assists in the administration of medical screening programs thus resulting in accurate, prompt, facilitation of services.
