Key words: light scattering, remote sensing, aerosols, polarimetry, polarization

This research focuses on developing techniques to calculate or measure the light scattering from irregularly shaped particle systems. Emphasis is also placed on inversions, developing methods to gather information from the light scattering signal. Characterizing aerosol particles is a priority; however, there is also interest in characterizing media like terrain or structures on substrates.
