Compact, electrical power generation for combat vehicles

Canidate will investigate the use of electro-mechanical devices to generate electrical power in the range of 30 kW on military vehicles.  The goal of this research is to identify new technologies, materials, or methods that will decrease the size and increase the power production relative to current systems.  Candidate should have a demonstrated background in thermal analysis and  electro-magnetic machine design.
