Coordinate Workshops
At Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), we strive to meet the unique needs of our customers. One way we fulfill such needs is by coordinating workshops to support their research activities. By facilitating a "meeting of the minds" through workshops, we can provide a fertile ground for discussion of research projects, as well as a forum for sharing a new direction for scientific research.
We work with our customers to coordinate productive workshops by:
- Identifying the meeting site.
- Coordinating financial arrangements if co-sponsored by two agencies.
- Creating and monitoring the registration Web site.
- Authorizing travel and arranging payment of travel costs.
- Finalizing contracts.
- Arranging poster sessions.
- Assembling abstract books or proceedings.
- Coordinating production of signs, tags and table tents.
- Conducting onsite registration.
- Offering onsite assistance.
- Providing honoraria and travel reimbursement.
