Program Specialist

PURPOSE:  Provides assistance for meetings, reviews, and workshops.  Coordinates logistics for travel and lodging, and prepares appropriate forms and letters.
 
ESSENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
 
*  Selects and completes letter and e-mail templates and forms for ORISE staff, reviewers, and others.  Completes travel authorizations in Travel Management System (TMS) and handles travel arrangements for reviewers.  Ensures travel expense statements and other review related documents are processed and completed.
 
*  Inputs routine data into PeerNet accurately and completely.   Assists Task Lead to ensure that reviewers receive all information needed to complete the review (proposals, instructions, etc.).
 
*  Arranges logistical, supply, and equipment needs in accordance with Task Lead's specifications.  Prepares meeting handouts, materials, reports, and other meeting related information.  
 
*  Enters and maintains activity data in electronic activity tracking system and paper files ensuring information is complete and accurate.  

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two to four years job related experience required.  Excellent computer skills to include advanced levels in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required.  Must have experience with electronic mail and the Internet.  Attention to detail a must.  Advanced computer experience with the ability to extract necessary information to complete letter and e-mail templates, merges, and various form templates required.  Must have demonstrated capability to interact at all levels, e.g., arranging travel for wide variety of reviewers.  Above average English, grammar, composition, and proofreading skills essential.  Familiarity with governmental operations at federal level desirable.
