Computational Thinking for Educators

Brief description:

Ever wonder what is meant by computational thinking? This workshop will be a series of mini, hands-on sessions. Day 1 and 2 will include resources for educators to learn how to use the tools everyone else is talking and writing about. Day 3 will include tours of Oak Ridge National Laboratory research-areas, classroom involvement activities, basic ALICE programming and how to program a robot. Walk away with ideas, lessons and tools that can be implemented upon returning to the classroom.

Middle and high school teachers, community college and college faculty
