Partnerships for Innovation
| Brief description: | Learn about our climate, global warming, and energy resources and challenges. Students will have opportunities to build and research wind turbines, solar cars, and make biofuels. Students will tour Oak Ridge National Laboratory's research facilities and learn from scientists who are exploring the impacts and interactions of climate, global warming, and energy. |

| Eligibility: | Students with an interest in science and technology who will be enrolled in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade during the 2012-2013 school year. (Currently in the 5th, 6th, or 7th grades.) |

| Time: | 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday |
| Location: | Oak Ridge Associated Universities |
| Presentation day: | ORAU will host family and friends of students on Friday afternoon as they present their final research and experiences. |
| Additional information: | Participants will be responsible for providing a bag lunch and transportation to and from the academy daily. Transportation during the day for tours or activities will be provided by the camp. Students must be able and willing to follow instructions and abide by all safety procedures. |

| Registration: | Online application for 2012 Oak Ridge Science Academy Deadline for applications: April 15. Registration is limited to 24 students. Applicants will be notified of selection by May 1. |
