HVAC component

State-of-the-Art HVAC Systems

Another key component of the building’s energy performance is a high-efficiency HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system consisting of a central chiller and high-efficiency boiler, variable air volume (VAV) boxes serving most individual spaces, a sophisticated Building Information Management (BIM) system and variable frequency drives (VFD).

The system went through a complete commissioning process, which entailed testing each piece of equipment to ensure that it was installed and performing in accordance with the design criteria.

In addition, measurement devices have been installed on each major piece of the system. This will allow facilities personnel to monitor and adjust the system as necessary to ensure that it continues to perform in accordance with the design specifications.
