Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards
Application Instructions for Councilors
Who is eligible?
- Full-time assistant professors within two years of their initial tenure track appointment (2/6/2007 through 2/6/2009) at the time of application at an ORAU member institution are eligible.
What do councilors and member institutions need to do?
- Select up to two junior faculty members to be consider for the award.
- Request a nomination letter from the chair or dean for each junior faculty member to be considered.
- E-mail to Ann Farler at ORAU the following (one e-mail for each faculty member to be considered):
- The two-page proposal from the nominee.
- The abbreviated resume from the nominee.
- The application form in HTML format from the nominee.
- A nomination letter for the nominee in PDF format.
Special note on file formats:
- ORAU requests that all documentation submitted for the Ralph E. Powe Award, except for the application form, be submitted in either Word or PDF format. If this is unacceptable for any reason, please notify Ann Farler at ORAU and see if other arrangements can be made to handle the document format.
- If a Councilor is unable to submit documentation from the Councilor's e-mail address, please send a letter of designation to Ann Farler with the name and e-mail address of the person sending the information.
