Having performed site surveys of decommissioned sites for more than 25 years, Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is well positioned to conduct applied health physics evaluations to support your project.

ORAU performs applied health physics evaluations for government agencies, such as the development of technical evaluation reports for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation in support of the decommissioning of reactors and the preparation of final status survey plans.

Our independence has enabled us to attain a broad spectrum of experience, including the areas of fuel cycle, environmental health physics and uranium health physics. We’ve conducted instrument studies, developed radiological software, and performed technical evaluations of decontamination and decommissioning plans and results.
