A bid team including ORAU is pleased to announce it has been awarded the technical support services contract for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response (OPHPR). This multi-award Blanket Purchase Agreement is for five years, totaling approximately $100 million.

OPHPR leads the agency’s preparedness and response activities by providing strategic direction, support, and coordination for activities across CDC as well as with local, state, tribal, national, territorial, and international public health partners.

Ensuring that states can adequately respond to threats will result in safer and better protected communities and an overall greater health security; a critical component of U.S. national security.

“ORAU has assisted OPHPR in meeting its critical missions for the past eight years,” said Marcus Weseman, vice president of Health Communication for ORAU. “We are pleased to have this opportunity to expand that support to additional priority initiatives.”

Through this contract and as a result of the many years of working directly with CDC, ORAU will provide professional services to the Office of the Director and the four Divisions comprising OPHPR to support their efforts in building and strengthening prepared and resilient communities.
