ORAU Reveals the Extreme Classroom Makeover for Gresham Middle's Ms. Alvey

WHO: Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) Senior Advisor to the President Homer Fisher, Knox County Schools Superintendent Dr. James McIntyre, and Gresham Middle School Sixth Grade Science Teacher Ms. Alvey

WHAT: ORAU unveils the dramatic transformation of Jenny Alvey's Extreme Classroom Makeover.

Announced this past May as the grand-prize winner of the first ever ORAU Extreme Classroom Makeover, Ms. Alvey's classroom received a $25,000 grant to outfit the sixth grade science class with the latest in educational technologies and receive a year's worth of training and support.

WHEN: Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, 10 a.m. (media may want to arrive at 9:45 a.m. to set up)
