WHAT: ORAU's Center for Science Education (CSE) will be recognized as the first new office building in Tennessee to earn LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold-level certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) during a formal ceremony. Light refreshments will be served.
WHY: ORAU is receiving this prestigious Gold-level distinction based on excellence in five categories: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. The building reflects ORAU's commitment not only to sustainability and sound environmental stewardship but also to operating healthy, comfortable, state-of-the-art facilities.
