New Volunteers in Education Team Members Announced

OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—The Oak Ridge Associated Universities Volunteers in Education Team (VET) has announced the addition of three new members: Martha Hammond, Karin Jessen, and Sophia Kitts.

VET is a group of ORAU employees that helps enhance science and math education in East Tennessee through a variety of activities, including monetary contributions, taking part in career fairs, mentoring students, and volunteering in classrooms.

Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 98 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
