ORAU Makes Donation to the Oneida Special School District's Science Resource Center for Science Equipment

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- The Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) Volunteers in Education Team (VET) recently presented a check for $2,100 to the Oneida Special School District’s Science Resource Center.

Most of the funds donated will purchase aquariums, hooded lights, microscopes, and animals. The resource center supplies science materials to nine counties in Tennessee and Kentucky to include 10 school districts and 23 schools.

Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 101 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
