On Wednesday, Aug. 11, Oak Ridge Associated Universities and HME, Inc. signed an agreement extending by one year their support relationship as provided under DOE's Mentor-Protégé program. Through this relationship, ORAU serves as a business mentor to HME, Inc., providing consultation on a variety of business practices and opportunities. As ORAU's protégé, HME, Inc., has served as a contractor on multiple construction and engineering projects for ORAU.

Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 97 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
