ORAU Makes Donation to Loudon County Elementary

OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) recently presented a check for $6,000 to Loudon Elementary School through its Volunteers in Education Team (VET) program.

The funds were donated to the school for educational materials in science and math curricula, such as scientific models, microscopes, computers, software and calculators.

Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 101 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
