OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) kicked off its 2005 Giving Campaign for United Way and Community Shares Wednesday, Sept. 21, at an employee luncheon. This year’s theme is “Give and Let Give,” and the corporation set the tone of the fundraiser by contributing $20,000 to United Way for local Hurricane Katrina efforts.

ORAU Giving Campaign chairman Ivan Boatner said he hopes that 100 percent of employees will make pledges to either United Way or Community Shares; employees will have the opportunity to make pledges or donations through Oct. 28.

ORAU provides innovative scientific and technical solutions to advance national priorities in science, education, security and health.
