OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) recently presented a check for $1,990 to Kingston Elementary School through its Volunteers in Education Team program. The funds were donated to third grade classes at the school to purchase educational math materials, such as hands-on learning tools to help students with multiplication, division and fractions.
Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 97 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
