OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—This week, crews began installing Oak Ridge Associated Universities’ (ORAU) new three-dimensional signage, which adheres to the organization's corporate identity standards, at entrance ways around the main campus grounds off of Badger Avenue. The signage places ORAU and Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) logos in prominent locations on certain building facades and in publicly accessible lobby areas of most buildings, including the Pollard Technology Conference Center.
New signage at intersections will also provide more guided direction for drivers and pedestrians looking for the auditorium or specific offices on the main campus. “The signs will be instantly noticeable for their innovative design,” said ORAU’s Facilities and Transportation Department Director Rac Cox, “but they will most importantly make it easier for visitors to find their away around ORAU’s campus.” The project is expected to be completed by early 2007.
Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 97 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
