Previously known as Raccoon Road, ORAU Way will help create a new entrance to ORAU’s main campus and the new Center for Science Education, also known as Building MC-100, scheduled to open in February 2009.

“To the City of Oak Ridge, thank you,” ORAU President Ron Townsend said. “This is special to us, and we appreciate all you did to make this happen.”

Following the ceremony, Townsend hosted the attendees on a tour of the Center for Science Education/Building MC-100, which is currently under construction.

New ORAU Way signs can be seen at the corner of Illinois Avenue, Badger Avenue and the Oak Ridge Turnpike.
