Kennedy selected as ORAU’s Vice President of Business Development

OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—Oak Ridge Associated Universities has appointed Jamey Kennedy as vice president of Business Development.

Kennedy has more than 30 years of experience in business development, strategic planning and technical writing. She most recently served as director of business development for ORAU where she led the company’s response to strategically important business opportunities including contract negotiations and management.

In her new role, Kennedy will support ORAU’s programs by overseeing proposal strategy, pricing and production. She will also manage the business development program’s support in marketing and capture planning activities, as well as partner with business development representatives in each program.

“Jamey brings a wealth of experience and business savvy to this position,” ORAU President and CEO Andy Page said. “Her knowledge of the federal procurement process, the changing business and contracting environment in which we operate, and what differentiates ORAU from our competitors will help usher our organization into a new era of growth and competitiveness.”

Prior to ORAU, Kennedy spent more than 27 years in business development and technical writing services for the Oak Ridge, Tenn. division of Science Applications International Corporation. Throughout her career at SAIC, Kennedy oversaw efforts to acquire multiple federal procurements and was responsible for all aspects of business development including capture strategy, corporate marketing material and presentations, as well as a variety of other communication efforts.

Kennedy is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a bachelor’s degree in English and psychology.
