President's Academy Students Visit Spallation Neutron Source
An elite group of Tennessee high school students recently spent the day in Oak Ridge getting an up-close view of many of the latest technological advances at various locations around Oak Ridge including the Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
The event was part of Tennessee Tech University's (TTU) two-week President's Academy on Emerging Technologies, which allows top science students from high schools across the state of Tennessee learn about technology through on-site visits to locations such as Tennessee Valley Authority facilities, the University of Tennessee Space Insitute, and the TTU campus.
The trip to Oak Ridge was co-sponsored by ORAU, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and BWXT Y-12.
