ORAU Donation Helps AMSE Visitors Explore Careers in Science and Technology
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- Visitors are making good use of the Science and Technology Career Work Station at the American Museum of Science and Energy. Donated in September by Oak Ridge Associated Universities, the work station enables visitors to search the Internet for information on careers in science and technology.
The two-computer work station features wheelchair accessibility, high-speed Internet access, and a printer.
Lissa Clarke, AMSE public information officer, emphasizes that the work station enhances the mission of the museum in its efforts to advance science and technology for students and adults. “We need science literacy in our country. This is one way we can help achieve that.”
Adds ORAU president, Ron Townsend, “By working together, ORAU and AMSE are actively reaching out to the next generation of scientists.”
