Knoxville Resident Accepts ORAU Award

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – Knoxville resident Becky Kennard accepts an Oak Ridge Associated Universities’ Achievement Cash Award from ORAU President Ron Townsend.  She was one of 89 ORAU employees to take home the cash awards at a recent ceremony at ORAU’s Pollard Auditorium where ORAU handed out almost $60,000 in cash bonuses to recognize individual and team excellence.  Kennard was recognized for her outstanding operation of the mission-critical Work for Others Office, which resulted in continued confidence and compliments from the Oak Ridge Operations Office.

ORAU is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 86 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
