FAA Internship Program Call for Applications
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. –College students and recent graduates interested in spreading their wings and participating in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) internship program administered by the Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) are encouraged to apply by March 7.
The internship program is for undergraduate, graduate and recently graduated students with a minimum 3.0 grade point average and United States citizenship. Academic disciplines targeted in the program include aviation research, computer science, engineering, law, mathematics, science and other aviation safety and security studies. In addition, this ORAU segment of the FAA program is charged with recruiting Asian American/Pacific Islander and Native American/Alaska Native participants.
The program is offered throughout the year, lasting 10 weeks in the summer and 15 weeks during the semester. All participants receive a $450 weekly stipend, limited travel reimbursement and accidental medical insurance. In addition, participants who live over 60 miles from the host facility will receive a $150 weekly housing allowance.
The application process includes submission of a student application, resume, letters of reference and official college transcripts.
