Hebb Joins ORAU Business Development Staff
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. —Barbara H. Hebb recently joined Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) as a manager in the business development department. Hebb brings 15 years of communication, proposal and publications management experience to ORAU.
“We are fortunate to have Ms. Hebb in our organization. Her leadership abilities will add significant value to our business development function,” said Tony Lester, director of business development.
Most recently, Hebb was the proposal/publications center manager and deputy division manager at Science Applications International Corporation in Oak Ridge. She previously served as the publishing resources manager at Tennessee Associates International in Maryville, the creative services department manager at Analysas in Oak Ridge, and as a freelance proposal writer/technical editor for several companies in Oak Ridge and Knoxville.
“I’m very excited about the many opportunities available at ORAU. This is a dynamic, well-established organization with long-standing ties to this community,” Hebb said. “It’s a pleasure to be on board.”
Hebb earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maine in Orono, and she is a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals.
ORAU is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 91 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
