ORAU President to Recognize Medical College of Georgia with Membership Plaque, Tour Research Facilities

Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) President Dr. Ron Townsend and Dr. Charles Liotta, Chair, ORAU Board of Directors, will present the Medical College of Georgia with a membership plaque in honor of the university’s recent addition to the ORAU consortium. Townsend and Liotta will also tour several research laboratory facilities at the college. As a member of the ORAU consortium, the Medical College of Georgia takes part in ORAU-sponsored or administered scientific research programs. Faculty and students of consortium members also benefit from extensive opportunities for travel grants, internships, and laboratory research at federal facilities. ORAU is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 91 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy. |
