OAK RIDGE, Tenn. —Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) President Ron Townsend and Board of Directors Chair Charles Liotta presented the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) with a membership plaque honoring their recent addition to the ORAU consortium of universities. Faculty and students of consortium members also benefit from extensive opportunities for travel grants, internships, and research appointments at federal facilities.

Oak Ridge Associated Universities is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 91 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
