ORAU Stands United for United Way and Community Shares
with Largest Contribution to Date
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. —Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) began its 2004 Giving Campaign for United Way and Community Shares with a strong start, pledging $41,300 during the first day of the campaign. This year’s theme was “United We Stand, and United We Give,” and employees did give, with ORAU contributions totaling nearly $77,500.
ORAU employees went the extra mile this year, giving more money than ever before to United Way and Community Shares. The Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH) group, managed by Bob Kapolka, is always a leader in giving throughout the company. This year, ESH increased their total contributions over last year by 98 percent.
