ORAU's 2006 Giving Campaign Set Company Record for Giving
and Participation
OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—ORAU closed out its 2006 Giving Campaign last week by presenting a $10,000 corporate donation to United Way of Anderson County. This year’s drive, themed “60 Years of Giving and Caring,” highlighted individual ORAU employee volunteer efforts for various community programs and also recognized ORAU’s 60th anniversary. The campaign set a new record for ORAU, which included an overall employee participation rate of 94% and more than $85,000 raised by employees.
“We have a responsibility as an employer and as part of the community to look for the organizations through which we can do the most good,” said ORAU President Ron Townsend. “United Way of Anderson County is a great asset to our community, and we’re proud to be one of its supporters.”
