ORAU Commits $25,000 to Junior Achievement, Students

OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—ORAU presented a check to Junior Achievement of East Tennessee to support the Science Research Center within the Junior Achievement Capstone City. The company committed $25,000 to the center, which will serve as one of 19 businesses located in the Capstone City. The Capstone City will provide a working understanding of business and government through real-world experience for East Tennessee's estimated 13,000 5th graders.

"The Junior Achievement Capstone City will be a great asset to East Tennessee and will clearly enhance the educational experience for a lot of elementary school students," said ORAU President Ron Townsend. "The Science Research Center is an especially important component, and we're pleased to have the opportunity to be a part of this initiative."
