Research Focus:

“Our project involves developing concepts and approaches to increase the effectiveness of international safeguards and promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy.”

Experience Gained:

“There is a lot of impressive work going on here in the safeguards field. My experience here has helped me apply the knowledge I gained while in school. I've learned a lot about working on small parts of large government projects, multidivisional teamwork, budget management and safeguards technologies. I have no doubt that this opportunity is setting a solid foundation for the rest of my career.”

Thoughts on Program:

“I'm really enjoying the opportunity to see how ideas evolve from points in an agreement, to bullets in an action sheet, to tangible tasks, and finally onto completed products. The process may be long, but it’s really fascinating to see it all play out.”
