This position requires a highly organized, self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal abilities and effective oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience and proven skills in the area of nuclear reactor licensing and safety assessment.
This position will support a national program in commercial nuclear material reactors. This position will be responsible for initiation and supervision of subcontracts in support of Fuel Cycle and Isotope Division projects and experiments. The position requires the ability to execute technical document preparation including data analysis and final reporting of material for internal and external purposes. Candidate will be responsible for monthly reporting, accounting, and the management of subcontracts.
Qualified candidates will have the capability of managing projects so that they are on time, on budget, and of high quality. Other activities include developing and assembling project documentation as well as ensuring the correctness and completion of deliverables. The candidate will also be the primary interface with outside nuclear industrial clients and supporting regulatory agencies.
Candidates applying for this position are required to have a Master’s Degree in a relevant technical field preferably with a commercial or nuclear design entity. Candidate must have a strong technical background in understanding the physics of a nuclear reactor. Candidate should also have knowledge of licensing, understanding regulatory requirements. Experience in technical project support and program management is required. and the position will require strict meeting of deadlines, as well as interfacing with various groups involved in the program.
