Caulk X-Ray Film Chest

This is a lead-lined wooden case for storing x-ray film with a chrome plate on the top that reads "Caulk X-ray Film Chest."  This might be the dental supply company  L.D. Caulk which is now a subsidiary of Dentsply.  I really have no information about this at all. Any help would be appreciated.  The beautiful wooden construction (mahogany/cherry?) is so nice that I will stick out my neck as guess that it dates from the1920s or thereabouts.
