Model 2 Fred C. Henson Lauritsen Electroscope (ca. 1947 - 1955)

This example of the Model 2 was produced by the Fred C. Henson Company of Pasadena California , sometime around 1947 – 1955. The Model 2 has the standard Model 1 version of the Lauritsen electroscope housed in a case together with a built in light source and power supply. The case is 8” x 3” x 14” in size and weighs 8 pounds.

This instrument is described in the Atomic Energy Commission’s Radiation Instrument Catalog No. 2, Part 2 on page SIC-8C. The page date is October 1, 1947 .
