ORAU Provides Expertise to Emergency Personnel Responsible for the Medical Management of Radiation Accidents

ORAU strengthens hospital preparedness for radiation emergencies by preparing and educating first responders, medical personnel, and occupational health professionals who will provide care to patients with a radiation injury or illness.

Our team of experts, which manage the U.S. Department of Energy's Radiation Emergency Assistance Center/Training Site (REAC/TS), provides medical advice, specialized continuing education courses, and the unique capability of on-site assistance for the treatment of all types of radiation exposure accidents.
