November 2-3: The RIA Theory Group held a highly successful workshop attended by over 35 nuclear theorists from around the world interested in RIA-related physics. The workshop had both scientific and organizational content. Several exciting talks outlining th efuture of nuclear theory were given, and soon will be posted here. At the workshop, a committee was commissioned to write a charter for the group. The committee consisted of Erich Ormand, Petr Navratil, David Dean, Witek Nazarewicz, Steve Pieper, and Filomena Nunes.

The charter was recently approved with a unanimous vote among the RIA Theory Group membership.
