Second RIA Summer School on Exotic Beam Physics Application Procedure

Those interested in participating in the summer school should apply by sending an e-mail to anantaraman@nscl.msu.edu with the following information:

Name
Year of study
Institution
Research interests
Willingness to give a short presentation on his/her research
Contact information (postal address, e-mail address, phone number, fax   number)
Supervisor (Professor): name and contact information.

The application should be followed by a recommendation letter from a supervisor sent by e-mail to the address anantaraman@nscl.msu.edu.

The summer school is open to:

Senior undergraduates
Graduate students
Postdocs, within two years of their degree.

Women and minorities are particularly urged to apply.

The deadline for receipt of the application materials is May 15, 2003. The notifications of acceptance will be sent in the end of May, and a waiting list will be established. The enrollment is limited to approximately 40 students, so we encourage those interested to apply as soon as possible. Accepted students will receive support towards their local expenses (lodging, meals). We also anticipate being able to provide substantial reimbursement for traveling expenses although the actual amount will depend on mode of travel, distance, and availability of funds.
