Welcome to the 8th Summer School on Exotic Beam Physics
The overall aim of the school is to nurture future scientists of FRIB, the next-generation U.S. radioactive beam facility that has recently been sited at Michigan State University. With this new facility, scientists will be able to probe nuclei at the very limits of existence.
The school is designed mainly for graduate students, but senior undergraduates involved in research, and junior post-docs are welcome to apply. We anticipate being able to accommodate about 50 students. As in previous years, the school will consist of morning lectures and “hands-on” activities in the afternoons. Students will have an opportunity to present their research.
The school is supported by the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Science Foundation (NSF), and by ANL (Argonne), LBNL (Berkeley), LLNL (Livermore), NSCL/MSU (Michigan State), and HRIBF/ORNL (Oak Ridge) research laboratories.
