Travel and Housing

The school expects to be able to cover reasonable local expenses related to the school. Travel assistance will not be available.

Accommodation

School participants will be staying at Foothill Housing on the University of California, Berkeley campus. Foothill is located at the bottom of the LBL campus, and is within walking distance to the 88-Inch Cyclotron. The rooms at Foothill are all double-occupancy. Meals will be provided at Foothill, the LBL cafeteria and at special events.

Transportation

Travel to Berkeley and LBL is easy via public transportation. The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transport) runs from San Francisco Airport and from Oakland Airport (via short shuttle ride) to downtown Berkeley. From the downtown Berkeley BART station, there are buses that will take you to the Foothill housing.
