RIA Technical Workshop Advisory Committee
Updated 9-20-05

We have formed a RIA Technical Workshop Advisory Committee (TWAC) in order to coordinate the exchange of information on R&D results and other topics related to facility planning effort towards RIA.

At the recent RIA Facility Workshop many different new ideas were discussed for all areas of RIA. One result of the workshop was the formation of collaborations for the experimental areas in order to focus these ideas. We hope that also the other subgroups of the workshop continue to interact and work on the solution of the discussed opportunities and problems. We anticipate that within a year (~May - Summer 2005) another bigger meeting where the different groups will report about their progress to the whole community would be appropriate. Institutions which are interested in hosting this next workshop should contact a member of the TWAC.Current members of the TWAC are:

Larry Ahle  (LLNL)

Jim Alessi (BNL)

Jim Beene (ORNL)

Claude Lyneis (LBNL)

Joe Natowitz (TAMU)

Jerry Nolen, Co-Chair (ANL)

Claus Rode (JLAB)

Michael Thoennessen, Co-Chair (NSCL)

Tom Wangler (LANL)
