SELAC is a community of researchers, principally in the Southeast United States, that has come together seeking to promote astronomy, astrophysics, and laboratory astrophysics in our region and nationally.  In particular, SELAC promotes these activities through organization of workshops, collaborations, and new research programs.  Our goal is to facilitate work addressing the laboratory astrophysics needs of NASA space missions, ground-based observations, and modeling and simulation efforts in order to advance astronomy and astrophysics and to raise awareness and recognition of laboratory astrophysics.
