Benefits of Membership

Membership in the ORAU Consortium provides exclusive opportunities for faculty and students

As a consortium of major Ph.D.-granting institutions, ORAU advances scientific research and education through partnerships with academia and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), as well as our investment in the community.

By becoming a member of the ORAU consortium, your college or university can participate in exciting collaborations with national laboratories, federal agencies, other educational and governmental entities, and the private sector.

ORAU’s member institutions benefit from our position as the principal resource for engaging academia in the research- and education-related actions of UT-Battelle/Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), the Y-12 National Security Complex/National Nuclear Security Administration and DOE. Access to those entities will offer greater opportunities for research funding and higher visibility.

In addition, the professional growth of your institution’s faculty and students will be enhanced by ORAU’s various annual programs, which offer grants, knowledge-strengthening competitions, and interactions with scientific leaders.

Join ORAU as it builds on its rich history in promoting excellence in science and education to effect innovative changes in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines, and to positively influence America’s education agenda.
