ORAU Procurement staff hold the actual authority to commit to purchases. Therefore, suppliers shall act only on purchase commitments made by authorized ORAU Procurement & Partnerships personnel.

Small Business Program

ORAU Procurement & Partnerships proactively works with small businesses to purchase goods and services. It is ORAU’s commitment to apply efforts of outreach and technical assistance to identify, qualify, and utilize companies in the following categories to the maximum extent possible that is consistent with the efficient performance of ORAU’s prime contracts:

  • Small businesses (SB)
  • Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small businesses
  • Small disadvantaged businesses (SDB)
  • Women-owned small businesses (WOSB)
  • Veteran-owned small businesses (VOSB)
  • Service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB)

This office utilizes the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) managed by the Small Business Administration (SBA) to identify potential sources, along with outreach at small business events.

ORAU invites suppliers to submit a one-page capabilty statement by email to the Small Business Program Office.

ORAU a winner of the EPEAT purchasing award

For the eighth consecutive year, ORAU has earned recognition from the Global Electronics Council (GEC) for its commitment to purchase information technology products that meet the highest standards for being environmentally friendly.

The Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) Purchaser Award goes to organizations that have demonstrated excellence in making purchases of electronics with the least possible environmental impact. The GEC first established the EPEAT Purchaser Award in 2015, and ORAU has earned the honor every year since then.
