Approximately 400 students from all areas of East Tennessee will meet at Pellissippi State Technical Community College to compete against one another in the 2007 Pellissippi State Middle School Math Bowl. The competition consists of a challenging multiple choice exam designed by college professors from across the state. Trophies will be awarded to the top five students in each grade level. In addition, an award will also be given to the Best All-Around School at each grade level.

The competition begins at 8:00 a.m. Students will then be taken to Zuma Fun Center in Knoxville for a lunch hosted by ORAU, and time to unwind with one another. Students will then return to the Hardin Valley Campus of Pellissippi State for the award ceremony.

Media are invited to attend both the lunch and awards sessions. For more information on this event, please contact Jonathan Lamb at (865) 694-6699.
